The Deluxe is the room we recommend first, and the one most guests rebook. It sits mid-boat, which is the steadiest part, with windows opening directly over the water — close enough that you can hear the shikara paddles before you see them.
Walnut panelling throughout, a carved bed frame made by a Srinagar craftsman, and crewel-embroidered drapes and bedspread stitched with the chinar-leaf motif you'll see all over the valley.
En-suite bathroom with hot water around the clock, and a bukhari wood stove that we light for you between November and March.
